The Huntsville Library Foundation hosts an annual fundraising dinner called Vive le Livre, and they just commenced the Community Conversations author series. The success of these events is crucial to the mission of the Foundation. Contributions from ticket sales, donors, and sponsors benefit the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library System and makes services like the Digital Media Zone possible.

Vive le Livre

Vive le Livre logoVive le Livre is an end-of-the-year gala celebrating libraries, books, and literacy. It is the goal of the Foundation to share with the community the literary world's best and brightest as we support the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library. This is the primary fundraiser for the Huntsville Library Foundation each year, and proceeds pay for the Digital Media Zone and programs and resources at all thirteen library locations. Community Conversations

Community Conversations is a new author series that brings authors of recently published books to the Huntsville area and is an informal discussion about themes from the books...and pretty much anything else the author and audience decide on through Q and A. This quarterly series has hosted Greg Iles, Homer Hickam, Ilsa J. Bick, and Anne Byrn thus far.

Community Conversations starts its 2017 season with the return of one of our favorite authors. Greg Iles, author of the Natchez Burning trilogy, kicked off our Community Conversations series in 2015 to the delight of a packed audience. He's coming back to discuss the last book in this trilogy, Mississippi Blood, which goes on sale March 21. Join this mastermind of an epic tale of mystery, adventure, and the complicated elements of Southern history.

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $25 at All proceeds benefit Huntsville-Madison County Public Library. Seating is limited, so buy today!
